Yalom’s cure

More as a note to myself: a couple weeks ago, I went to see Yalom’s cure, a documentary on the Stanford psychiatrist Irvin D. Yalom. I have read two of his books, “When Nietzsche Wept” and “The Spinoza Problem”, with a third one “The Schopenhauer Cure”, standing in the shelve for quite a while. I have very much enjoyed both books and was curious to learn more about the author. He, as it turns out, is a very amiable fellow, whose life work was driven by the quest to help his patients through a better understanding of the mind. I could also relate to a number of personal things he said, which is one of the reasons for writing this note.
